Look up at the top right corner of your screen at the image of your avatar there. If there's a tiny red dot in one corner it means you've got an alert of some sort. Left click on the box, and the menu drops down. Then click on "alerts" and it will reveal if it's a message or other.

yeah I see that. I was looking for message not conversation. If I want a conversation I could elbow the guy next to me at the grocery store. I want a private message.
Vall are you seeing ads to the right of the Conversation window?

Sorry Mario. My mistake. If you want to message someone, simply hover over their avatar and a menu drops down. Then click on "message" and it takes you to the PM system.
