For what I paid for mine. I know it has a reserve. But for probably not much more. 1949 Austin | eBay

Looks like a guy could fix the rust easy enough, and save the paint too. So might make a pretty inexpensive gasser project with just engine, trans, rear axle, and a front axle.

Guessing either somebody on the East Coast doesn't want it, or those further away don't want it for whatever the reserve is, and then pay $2k more for shipping. Not much of a bargain if you end up over $7k plus $2k to ship on top of that.

My neighbor's Austin that sold on Ebay is still sitting on his trailer in the driveway. I heard from a mutual friend the buyer got sticker shock when he checked shipping costs! So was trying to locate a shipper who could get it to him cheaper. Not sure why it's on a trailer, but maybe he's delivering it to a shipper locally, and then it will go from there?
