Just remembering Ricky VR,a local boy and a heck of a nice guy. If ya have the time ,look on youtube at 'Willys back on the track again" and see 'underpressure.
All the names on the trunk are local boys Ed Moore chassis ect.
Due to an altercation at a local car show last Summer,Ricky is no longer with us,but the car lives on through his son. RIP Ricky.
Wish I could post a link to the video but I can't figure out how.

He got into it with another local drag racer Donny Little and a fight insued. What local law inforcement came up with is questionable at best,and everybody has a 'hunch' about what happened but I would rather not guess. He was taken away and pronounced dead on arrival.
Let's just say that his wife and Donny had been creating a problem for some time and when Ricky tried to deal with it,some 'bystanders' got involved.
At this point ,it would be nice for friends to remember him as he was ,,a good guy that was fair and 'lived' for his gassers.-Thanks

I've seen the vids before about the crash and the rebuilding of the car. But knew nothing of the other incident. He seemed like a nice guy in the vids. Just shows you why you have to have fun while you can. You can leave this world so easily. If he was your good friend I am very sorry for your loss. Thank you for the heads up. Mark L

Thanks Mark. I can't say that he was a close friend but anyone who ever met him,thought of him as a friend,,,just that kinda guy.And the video just don't do the car any justice.
