anybody know how to take a sun tach apart without breaking the glass and destroying the chrome ? i've got two that need updating..........

Are you talking Super Tach, or an early "sweep" style that requires a sender box?

i've got one of each. both are the 270 degree style.

Gary-

Take some good pictures of the front and back of the tachs. The earlier tachs are held together with nuts and come apart really easily. The studs are spot welded to the chrome face. Need pics to verify the model though.
