Anyone going or at the swapmeet this weekend? I've got a couple friends into Mopars who have spaces there. I can't go until Saturday - so all the good stuff will be gone!

Later,

Race track at PIR opened today, and it's bigger than ever! We started walking at 6:30 this morning, and didn't finish until 4:00pm today!!!!! Holy cow, we must have walked 12 miles today! So much stuff to take in, and lots of bargains to decide from. Wish I was rich, as the bargains on cars and parts were unbelieveable!
I picked up a few nice items, though none were on the short list in my pocket! Got a hydraulic tubing bender with all the shoes up to 2" for $80. Also got a nice pair of Ansen slots 10"x15" with a good pair of Goodyear Eagle drag slicks for $100. Lots of little cool things, and one OT item that surprised everyone, including me! I bought a nearly new 26" balloon tire cruiser chopper bike with a chrome frame and a brand new 50cc 2 stroke engine kit on it for $300!! These bikes sell for up around $400-$600 alone without the engine kit. My 12 yr.ld grandaughter went crazy over it when I got it home, so I may have already lost it to her. Told her she could work it off if she really wants it for herself. we don't give the grandkids big presents; they have to earn them.
Tomorrow is the Expo Center, and it's even bigger! Not sure my feet can stand more walking!!!!!!!!

Another great day, although less productive than yesterday. We went to the Expo portion all day today. My friend is building a 1938 Plymouth Coupe gasser, so he's starting the search and came up with some great parts. I picked up a gas pedal for my driver, the '69 Suburban, and also the "Chevrolet" emblem for the tailgate. $11 for both. Also got a chrome finned oil pan for the TH350 in the Austin for $10 brand new!
