It is mostly legal. I just need to install a horn, and maybe even put the windshield wipers back on. Oh yeah, and put it in neutral when passing schools and hospitals... LOL

Here are some photos. Deciding if I should start fixing it now or simply enjoy driving it for a year and collect all the parts I want. What do you think?

The alignment does seem to be a bit off.... That is some of the parts I am collecting. I found an old school mechanic with an alignment rack. So he will be busy in the near future. Pulling the headers now, as I cant stand seeing all the rust. A wire brush and some VHT, and they will be the best looking part of the car.

I am not sure who made the roll bar. Have not found any markings or stamps on it. One of the planned changes is to put in a 4 point cage.

I agree, about the king pins. Will be checking it out as soon as I get another heater in the garage. Been to darn cold the past few weeks.

You dont see to many hardtops as gassers. I have some polaroids from roughly 15 years ago of a hardtop gasser that was along side of highway 29 south of springfield for sale at an old ran down gas station. radiused , axled and a blue fiberglass tilt nose. it was for sale for 2000 . Man i wish i had the money back then but i was still a sophmore in high school.
