Hey all, im a new member here..
im building a 54 chevy in homage to the two lane blacktop 55..
Pics are various stages of build... completely gutted, tilt front... doors are literally shells.. i bead rolled alloy sheet and folded the edges to look like upholstery, had modified a bead roll die to look like stitching.. has sliding bronze tinted lexan windows (not installed) split monos, caltracs and leaf spring sliders...

engine was a mostly alloy 406 with weingartner top end, profiler heads, performer rpm intake, straub cam.. was an over 500hp dynoed engine..

jakes 4l80 trans and 35 spline wavetrac 9” rear.

sold the engine, building a 700+hp 421 with weingartner top end again, 248cc wing dragon slayers, solid roller, welded n ported pro dominator tunnel ram, braswell carbs, dart block, callies and mahle stuff, .904 lifters...
But ive lost interest in the 421, i decided on doing something traditional that would suit the 70s drag car vide, so its now getting built a big bore short strike 350, 400block with 327 crank, camel humps, tunnel ram, 660s... real old school engine.
Hope yous enjoy the pics.

When they get this old, there's not many places where they could have lived and survived rust free! Believe me, I sure know!

Nice looking build! You mention in your post you're looking to run a tunnel ram. Looking at the photo of your engine compartment with your engine set back it looks like you're going to have to do some major surgery on your firewall. Another possibility might be a single carb tunnel ram, I'm running one on my Willys pick-up. They don't come up often on ebay but there's one now that expires this Wednesday at 11:00 AM if you're interested. Even that might need some minor cutting though but not nearly as much as the dual carb set-up probably will. Weiand tunnel ram intake manifold for SBC | eBay

Oh built that firewall, im not fussed about having to cut it up there. actually that reminds me, i should move the thread to the project section and post more pics of thd work.
Carbs arrived sunday from braswell... this is the tunnel ram for the 421, welded and ported to the heads.. I have a summers brothers front distributor drive to run on this baby too so clearance for distributor isnt an issue, ill just haveto cut the top part of the firewall... interestingly, the heads with this tunnel ram attatched and all ported only lost 12cfm at peak over the heads alone, flowed 340cfm together. Delicious.
