Hi to all!! plan on doing some reading thru the posts for info. Well I'm not new to cars or racing. Been drag racing and road racing for 20+ years. I always loved the old gasser wars and that style of car. So wife and I decided to go with that theme on our next project. Its a 1959 Volvo PV plan on doing the rolling chassis this winter. work on body next summer, and the engine and drivetrain the following. Its going to be a 2 year project. Going with a blown Pontiac and 4 speed Richmond trans.

Welcome Bryan! Nice choice.

I've always loved those since 1978 when I worked at a Chevron station. The older kid (probably 22 or 23) had a '67 Nova SS and a Volvo. He was putting in a 327/Muncie and I thought it was the coolest car! Like a 3/4 version of a '48 Ford.

I saw one waiting at a light the other day and had to smile. They have a lot of potential.

Were they all black?
