Rambler Scrambler Gasser .. Since real gassers and muscle cars are getting rediculous in price , and the average joe can't afford these toys anymore .. I decided to build my own . Up here in New England we don't have a lot of classic iron from which to choose to build that hot rod of our imagination , so you get what you can find and go from there . Since I've always been fascinated by the Scrambler ( S/C Rambler ) from AMC in 1969 ,, I used to see on our small town streets when I was in high school , when I saw a Rambler Rogue on one of the on line cars for sale ads , I knew it was destined to be my long thought about project . As it was pretty solid and mostly original, after some bartering a deal was made and after some mileage with it in tow , it arrived at its new home . Now , the seed had been planted in my mind as soon as this search was over. So as it wouldn't be just fitting to get to a point of just showing off my new/used, home built Scrambler , I figured what the hay',, might as well really tick' em off and make a gasser out of this jewel .. so thats where we stand . The front axle is in ,enough so I can at least move it around in my driveway . Steering box and this cross steering is all new to me , so some time and research are required . But this will be one to turn heads once roadable , and should be lots of fun .. Thanks for letting me join and thanks for letting me Ramble'r on, hope you all enjoy your projects and perhaps we'll meet up one day . High in the nose of course .. Gassers Rule ,, Still ...Jc...

Welcome to the forum!! We don't discriminate on anyones choice of what they choose to build. I guess you could call us an equal opportunity build site. Speaking of building, since it appears you've already started building be sure you start your personal build thread under the "project update" heading on the "Forums" page. We LOVE photos and details about builds no matter how small or large the update might be. Looking forward to reading and seeing the progress on your gasser.

Welcome to the forum!! Like everyone said theres no judgement here. I have a pretty oddball build myself and its a somewhat newer vehicle and everyone has been super cool. Plenty of knowledge, ideas, and amazing machines on here. Hope to see some pictures of your rambler, sounds like its going to be a very cool project.

Glad the old Rambler and I are getting , noticed, lol , feel respected as a fellow motorhead .. Been learning for over 55’ years and still rub shoulders with fellows way ahead of me , motor head wise .. Great crew here . Haven’t had much free time lately to jump in .. Winter does come here pretty good .. Ha! Time to push the AMC back into garage , its winter update spot , if I can get the lead out my butt .. Speaking of butts , this cross steering is kicking mine .. heluva’ time trying to locate this new steering box , Vega manual box , for cross steering .. I am so lost ..
