So I was looking at what it will take to cross steer the Econoline axle today, and figured I'd probably use something in the way of a stock steering arm to bolt to the backing plate bolts. But I measured the bolt pattern and it was only 2.5" centers.
After checking Speedway for a flat bar steering arm, they all turned out to be either 3.25" or 3.5" centers. Thought about buying one anyway, then cut the tabs off and have them TIG welded back on at the spacing I need.
So anyone have any suggestions, or a source for a arm that's 2.5"? Not sure what early Mustangs or small Fords were, but the Falcon doesn't use a bolt on arm; the arm is part of the spindle, so can't rededicate it to the Econoline axle.

Hi Vall Ron Pope Motorsports in Tenn. makes steering arms for the Econoline axle. Rons number is 1-865-932-7541 last one I bought was $35.00 shipped. Great company to work with and very nice products. Also Judd might have one he made three a while back. Hope this helps Gary
