The blanket works really well for large areas like covering the whole engine, but the foil is a great tip for smaller areas, and I will sure use that in the future!
Wish we weren't on opposite ends of the country Mario, as I think we'd be over at each other's house a lot!
You know I was just viewing my MG thread to give someone from Facebook the link to see how I did my tilt nose. See I get more conversation than hey how much will you take for that heap?
I was reading yours and some of the other posts and I got a little emotional. I am so thankful for all your positive comments that kept me going. I can’t believe I did all that. Everyone here gets a big thankyou from me for helping me get it done. vall you have been a wonderful friend and like you said if we weren’t on opposite sides of the continent we would be hanging in the garage. That goes for everyone here. Ok boo hoo hoo I’m outta here. Lol

I feel the same way Mario! We've got several people here who encouraged me, and helped me when I was scratching my head, and trying to figure out how to fabricate something on several cars I've built during the years I've been on here.
There are some other forums I post at, or have posted at, where people post something, and all you hear is crickets. Whether people agree with the direction or not, at least we get good input here, and build relationships that have lasted years.

I'm thinking a SoCal location with no wife, no kids, a well equipped garage, ice cold beer and absolutely no woke, political correctness bullshit to be found. My married buddies love coming over because it's dudes being dudes working on motors and shit without worrying about language or anything else. HEY!!!! That sounds just like my place.

Gorgeous low 60's, clear day today! Decided a good day to go for a drive in the Austin. So took the trickle charger off, and after letting the electric fuel pump fill the Holleys, she fired right off and ran great! Drove around for over an hour when I suddenly remembered I hadn't changed my insurance over from winter storage to driving! So headed home and called up to get it covered for more driving.
Supposed to be 65 and sunny tomorrow also, so maybe get the '39 Out for a drive too!

gave you a cold chill when you thought about it didn’t it. I know that feeling. I used to do that with State Farm many years ago. I’m on Grundys insurance now full time.

Did indeed! It's one minute you're enjoying the drive, and the next you're scared you may not make it home without getting in an accident! Had the darn renewal papers sitting by my computer for a month, and just forgot. Not sure why it suddenly popped into my noggin?

Has to feel good to get things rolling again! I’m happy for you.
We’re hit more miss temperatures her so far…trying to get the seasonal checklist completed prior to any key’s turning, it will be hard when that sun starts popping to resist.

Today would have been even better with mid 60's temps! I just saw my neighbor drive up past my place with the '35 Plymouth coupe I built for him. I haven't seen the car since before covid, and wondered if he ever got it wired, and running? It looks killer outside in the sun, and really makes a statement. Was going to ask how it was working, but he just made a U turn and headed home.

Yes, I quit when it was still needing the wiring finished, as I wasn't getting paid for the money I requested. So haven't seen it in at least 2 years, and wondered if it was ever going to see the street. It does look even better than it looked up close building it. You know how you're always right next to a build, but so close you can't see the stance, or the total package as well as you can from a short distance away. It's going to turn some heads when he pulls into car shows.

The pedal looks great! Did it have the base and spring???? I always pull the spring out because some reason it wants to keep it 90*and I can’t see why they ever use it. Like you stated the pedal rest on the rod…. little tension but my foot can never tell. I’d like to place a strip of Teflon one of these times to see if it allows it to glide.

No, it was missing everything but just the pedal when I bought it years ago, so it lays down easily. I made a U shaped bracket to pivot on, and bolt it through the floor. I like the teflon idea!! I'll see if I can find a piece and glue it to the backside.
