Hi my first ? on this site. Has anyone built model a bbc rod would like to put in frame headers on, pu headers fit but hang down to low has any one come up with of the shelf headers that will fit? pics of car soon.

I bought some hedman hedders for my '55 when I was thinking of running a BBC. They mocked up fine, hung low, but not any lower than SBC hedders. They were for a '55 chev with a BBC. I did have to do a minor dimple for the stock steering box. I don't have any pics as I went in a different direction with the car.

Hi Workin on another project 31 model a streerod/dragcar putting 454ho with ASM Ram air intake, The car is full fenderd so would like to run full length headers. will post pics soon

Not to sure what type of car you are trying to fit headers to, but it looks like you are trying to fit these to a Model A. If that is the case then getting headers inside the frame on that skinny frame is a chore. My little Mdl A has had 11 different engines in it over the 30 years I have owned it. Everything from Flatheads to a Desoto Hemi. It has had 4 BBC engines and in all those BB i did manage to get the headers to fit inside the frame bu modifying some BBC existing header. The easiest for me were to Modify a set of Tri-Five change over 3/4 length Patriot headers to work. My car does have Rack and Pinion steering that did make things easier as no steering box to deal with, but take a look at those and maybe you can get them to work. I also believe you can make a set of Block Huggers work with some changes, but Ml A's are pretty slim right there. Good Luck!!

Try big block hedders for a 66 corvette. They fit pretty good in tight spots.
