building a nova gasser using gm disc calipers on front an drum on rear .I think there is a master cylinder an proportioning valve for this with out a booster. does anyone know what it is. cannot use booster because of fender well header. thanks for any help
This ain't hard. Just use late model stuff. 70's 80's. Just about any master will do. Proportioning valves is where it might get tricky. But a proportioning valve doesn't know if it's power assist or not. Just moves juice.
I use the 70's Camaro, Chevelle or Nova manual masters designed for disc/drum systems. Use a Biondo adjustable prop valve to the rear brakes, and then just dial it in by test driving and adjusting. The masters are under $20, and Summit has the prop valves for under $40.
