Does anyone know the track width and the center to center measurement of a 1957 chevy 1/2 ton front straight axle? I just found 1 today, he thinks it's complete, $125. Yesterday I got a 8.8, explorer rear end, 3.73 pos, and I'm going to shorten the long side so I'll have a 56 1/2 rear end. The old Dodge is moving forward, parts wise anyway.

I'm running a 55-57 Chevy truck axle on my build. It's 54 inches kingpin to kingpin. The track width/hub to hub would depend exactly on what spindle/brake you are using. I can't tell you what the original setup measurement is ,as I'm running a passenger car spindle and mustang 2 rotors. "eyeballing" it without pulling the wheels off I believe it's about 62 inches with my setup.

Feel free to hit me up for a more info if you need. Also- Jeep CJ springs are perfect for that axle. Plentiful and available in several different "lift" heights as well to dial in the front end ride height.
