Welcome! It's nice to see that car finished! I saw it for sale at Thompson a few years back. It was in primer w/o any running gear. I liked it then, and like it more now.

Been seeing your car for a while now but just found out a that it was AMC powered. If you look around here we love off beat combinations. When you get a chance update us on the combo. I think it's an outstanding car. And like it was said, we have a couple of other Opels on here. They'll enjoy you car too. I'm interested in the engine specs. I've always been partial to AMC as my Dad hauled ramblers out of Kenosha from 1951 until around 1976 when he had to retire with back problems. I sat in some of the nicest cars Ramble/AMC had to offer. Way back on the '70's a friend of mine built a 360 using all left over Nascar parts he got right from AMC. Never got to see it run but it was supposed to be a killer motor. If I'm not mistaken you run with an old Coupe Gasser called something Reaper?? I think that is AMC powered as well. Would be nice if he could join in here as well. Thanks for coming over and we're going to enjoy your car here. Mark L

http://youtu.be/jR1KnYFYFoU here is a video of my car.i tryed to upload some pics.but it didnt work.there are also some incar videos of me racing.thanks for looking.
the engine was a 1970 390.13+1 venola pistons, comp cams solid cam specked by barry allen{amc guru} edelbrock torquer intake,800 cfm holly dubbel pumper.with a msd dist.the trans is a amc turbo 400 with a trans brake.4700rpm stall converter.i blew this motor up on its 13th pass so i never got it dialed in.the car runs 11.30-11.60s all day with the old 360{which i also blew up this year but had around 400 passes on it}in putting a stroker 360 in it this winter and hp should be up around 650hp.the old 360 had about 400hp,per hp calculator.

Love the car. Glad you're here. What's the weight on that thing. I'm guessing it's half of my Catalina. Mark L

Heh, I thought it would be light. I was right, nearly half of mine. I think mine will come in around 4000 by the time I get a full cage in it. My car needs a diet, LOL. MArk L
