So Good Morning Gassers, it's 10 below on my front porch this morning. I'm going to fire up my secondary heat source today ( wood furnace) to help take the coal usage down a bit.. :D This should warm y'all puter screen a bit.

supposed to be 63 here today and for T-day 35
Happy Thanksgiving to you all! Don't eat so much you can't get under the car tomorrow. You know with a gasser that leaves plenty of room though!!!

well, back at work after a long 4 day weekend! My damn dog blew his knee out Friday night, so that puts most everything on hold. well, since it is his second blow out this year, he has no more knees to have surgery on!

Sounds like life keeps throwing you curves Dave!

That really sucks. I had a pit mix with bad knees too. Did surgery on one but to no avail. She lasted 16 years. Love that dog. Walked her down a ramp to get down the steps holding a strap around her waste. She always went outside to do her business. Even when she was almost paralyzed. Hope your dog does well. It’s a painful thing.
My dog(s) are my children. I can't stand it when something is wrong with them especially since they can't tell us what it is. Take good care of her because we all know that no person on earth will love you as much or be as loyal as your dog.

Damn Steve sorry to hear that your kids look like dogs...shave their asses and teach them to walk backwards.......lol......me I am a cat person...if it shits I like it to be in one spot every time..and easy to clean up...when they get real sick they get a one way trip to the vet...like you said, you don't know how bad they are hurting
Our dog had an attack a couple years ago where she just suddenly began screaming, and dragging her back legs. vet said it was a pinched nerve, and she spent a week in the vet hospital. She was finally sent home, and we were told there was nothing they could do that might not just make things worse. She eventually began to use her legs gradually and fully recovered to about 95%. Then almost a year later it happened again, and we went through the same process. The 2nd time she recovered faster, but has never gotten full use of her left rear leg. She drags it, and trips occasionally, but just keeps trying to do her best, regardless of things not working. She's been on steroids and pain meds for the last two years, and vet said he doesn't see any reason to ever take her off either.
Hope thye can at least make your dog comfortable, and maybe get a cart to support her back legs so she can get around.

Thanks guys, yea its hard because of all the bad luck. I even have the gasser for sale now. lots of thumbs up, but no bites. I also stated a go fund me that will help out. It you are so inclined, here is a link. I always tried to do things by myself and am a very proud person, but a couple of buddies persuaded me to try it. I am very humbled by it all.

I saw you had the gasser up for sale. Hate to see you sell it, but understand what our pets mean to us. Never get what we have invested in these cars usually, unless you buy a lot of bargain parts. I did well on my Falcon at $11k I was asking, and it sold just hours after posting it. But I was in it half that amount, in parts and buying the car to start.
whats really weird is that buick is not even in the high rpm's when he shifts.
On a good note, looks like I am keeping the gasser. Our go fund me is kicking ass.
The Buick also stumbles out of the hole and 1-2 shift.
It's a 430 with an over bore, so not a high winding engine, and more of a torque motor. So probably why he shifts early to keep it in the torque curve. But he did say he has a 150 nitrous shot, so no need to wind it way out.
On the lighter side...

That was great. Thanks for posting that. Love the Buick.

The point was. He smoked the Toyo with these problems.

I really wonder if his claimed HP was without the nitrous hit? I'm betting it was, so if he hit the go button he'd have a huge advantage over the Toyota. Both cars seemed to have pretty narrow tires, but the Buick planted them better.
60 degrees this morning. I was stuck in Chicago again until today. cold ass winter up there already. supposed to be in the low 60's here.

60’s is a gift. I’m in 40’s and wind chill here in NY. Supposed to warm up but with a wind she’s a blowing.
