I am fixing up the '59 T-Bird to sell in a couple weeks at our local swap meet and pulled the transmission today (bad front and rear seals). It's a '65 T-Bird (PCE-BK) auto and I'm replacing the front and rear seals as well as the filter/pan gasket.

Anyone now about these transmissions? I'm not a Ford guy. I pulled it out and left the belhousing and the torque converter connected to the engine. Is it possible to install it right back that way (is there a trick to aligning the TC pump) or do I have to pull the bellhousing and TC and align them with the trans on the bench and then install as one piece (like a turbo 350)?
