Hello all

I have run into a problem when building up front axel. I have no clearance between the steering arm (one the drag link bolts too) and the axel. Wondering if anyone else has experienced this issue and if so what was the solution.

Set up is a straight axel with 1928- 1948 speedway ford spindles.

Yes
Appears you're setup for push-pull steering, not cross steer. Speedway Motors sells a 2" offset steering arm for the Ford spindles.

Thank you Austin for help. That is exactly what I need.

Sorry you are correct push pull steering, ment to put that in original post.

It states on speedway that the hole is tapered to accept a tie rod end not a heim end. Could you see it being an issue if I ran a heim end???

Must be a bit tougher to build a gasser over on your side of the pond?
Yes little harder as most parts need to be either fabricated or imported.

Do when you order parts then run into issue like this slows build right down. Also alot of company's charge stupid postage prices. The steering are was going to cost nearly $90 to post.

I try and bulk order parts to keep cost down as after first large postal price price only increases little more parts you order.
