That's sad news Dave, and sure a tough hit to take. You of course are making the right decisions to move forward.
You did! That thing is cool as hell. I got a little done on the wagon, but I built a shed this weekend and now am paying the price. My back and neck are killing me. I got the paint in for the wagon. Found a cool place on-line called Tropical Glitz and they sell ready to spray paint in 4 ounce bottles. I bought 2 which should be enough to spray the wagon along with the clear.
Not making mine a pedal car Dave. It will be a pull car that's got a tongue just like a wagon. So I'm going to buy an old red wagon, and use most of that to make up the fire engine. Probably use the skinny front wheels, along with the wide go kart wheels/tires and raise it up in gasser stance. Something young car people can pull their kid around in at shows.Vall, check Speedway for pedal car parts. they might have the front wheels for you.
Well hell, sorry to hear this Dave. Keep plugging along.Well, it finally happened, I got something I cannot beat. I had some back pain that was a little worse than it always is and went to see a spine and neck doctor thinking it was because my fall out of the attic back in February. He takes some x-rays, comes in and says you have DISH. Well, a long story short is that on my ankles, back and neck I have extra bone material growing on my spine, neck and ankles! No cure. it covers most of my spine effectively fusing it together. It also can affect swallowing which I am already having issues with. I can hardly bend over, it takes awhile to get up off the floor and is the sole reason I cannot ride motorcycles anymore. It's nice to put a name to what is happening but damn. I sold the truck and am concentrating on finishing the little wagon for the grandson. No need for pity, but thought I would share why there are no more updates.
A few years ago, I found this on Offerup locally. I bought it for my Great Grand Daughter to take her to Car Shows. She was only 3 years old and this was set up as a stroller. It is built on a square tubing frame. I put a floor in it and upholstered the insides. It has a push handle you stick inside the frame to push her around. It was a hit at the shows. My son used his vinyl cutter and made the vinyl like in the ZZ TOP Hot Rod and put her name on it. I added a battery for the lights and put the wide rims and slicks on it. Now, she has out grown it but she has 2 younger brothers and a new sister to recycle it for them. Fiberglass body.
How does it steer? Does the driver steer it, or is it steered by the handle you install? I'd contemplated making mine a pull style like a red wagon, but push with steering would be better so you always have the kid in front of the parent.A few years ago, I found this on Offerup locally.
