I was never aware of this car and I was at Irwindale or Lions at least twice a month back then. Wish there was some video of it running. It's really a very cool story. Enjoy if like me you weren't aware of the car.

That was a fantastic video Steve! I remember reading about the Willys back then, but never hearing anymore about it again. Never saw the Drag Magazine article as that was a magazine I rarely saw for sale.
Now the mystery is where did it go after it was sold, and why didn't it appear anywhere at a drag strip?
