I finaly found a guy who knows how to build a 700.Two years on this trans running et streets in the 11s/ NO!!!PROBLEMS Why hasnt a trans BRAKE been developed for this unit?

High stalls work fine with the 700r4 if you've got a lockup switch to lock the converter when you're in high gear. Otherwise you'll burn up the trans cruising with a high stall and no lockup for the converter. On most automatics you want the stall lower than the cruising rpm's so you don't build excess tranny heat from never reaching full lockup rpm. The newer overdrive trans with electric lockups aren't an issue.

for my 700r4.

converter will have any street manners.

I have a 4500 stall with lockup in my 700R4. There is a switch on the valve body that only allowes it to lock up in 4th gear. I also added a toggle so I can control it if I want to.
