Started building a 1957 chevy short box step side gasser project truck about 2 1/2 years ago and have been looking for site much like this one. At times I have run into building issues and slowly made some honest progress. This project is pretty close to getting done with the help of some great friends. Here are some pictures of what I started with.

Welcome!!! Looks like your truck turned out pretty well judging by your avatar pic. I've always had a soft spot for that style Chevy pickup. Had one a few years back that I sub-framed and installed a 401 ci Nailhead Buick in. Was building it to be my shop truck. Sold it "reluctantly" before I finished it.
I'm diggin the gasser stance of your truck. Let's see some finished pix.

Here's a couple of mine.......

Love that body style... it's on the list of ones to own.

Wow! A 409 is such a great looking iconic engine! Nice work!
I love the truck and the 409 for it. It's so correctly---incorrect, heh. All that bright work really looks good on a '09'er. Glad you are sharing the truck and your thoughts with us. Mark L
