    Not easy

To sand down a shiny paint job...but had to do it,.... to get the lace and stripes flat under the clear...there is more than likely enough clear on there to just cut and buff...but since I already picked up some more I may as well do it...and be safe that I do not buff thru it..it also helps in the gas off process to do a wet sand and let it set for another day or so...I am going to go over it Thursday with some 2000 grit and weather permitting..shoot the last on Friday...wanted to 2K it but my compressor is not up to the task

    Playing around

Just could not take being inside, so checked the shop...air was ok......so I did a little hand polishing...looks like I will not have to cut the paint...only a few spots were there is small dirt in the top coat...to be expected with a open garage paint job..but will be gone with a little effort...came out looking like glass....well ok cheap glass...but with out having to cut the paint there will be enough to rub out for years to come

    In the corner

Did the first cut on it with the buffer....went real slow so as not to get the paint hot...now will let it sit for a few months harden and then do a final cut and pin stripe and wax...that will give me time to see if I can do pin striping any more...time to finish some of the front and get my ass in gear getting the engine done and back in...of course once I changed the viewing direction I see a tiny little ding I missed...oh well this is a driver....or should I call Patina...besides I need my recycling bin back...so I did the first cut early..but gentle...

Sat down in front of the boob tube

After about five minutes I said screw this crap...went out into the shop to find some thing to do...looked in the axle corner and staring at me was a rusty axle in with the others that where all cleaned up...it was crying out to me...you know you want to clean me.. clean me...clean me...I noticed this one for some reason seems to be a heavier axle than some of the others...I have had or seen...? I am going to check this out it, maybe taking a trip too the.... dare I say it.... The Hole-a-nator
