    Welding Tips

I get email tips from Eastwood and just got this one. I've noticed that many of the photos of welds from members, mine also, show some of these issues so I thought I'd share a very short informative video.

great basic tips. good for anyone as a reminder. thanks for posting. Not crazy about the acetone cleanup on the steel though. chemical smoke from cleaned surface is deadly. remember our brake kleen sticky?

Acetone evaporates so quickly that by the time you'd get set up to weld it probably will be long gone. I soak rusty parts in ATF/acetone mix, and have to cover the container, or the acetone will evaporate off it, and leave me with just an ATF soak.
