Absolutely right. 3/8 is minimum for any daily driver. Unless it’s a Briggs & Stratton

Don't use a liquid filled gauge from Jeg's, I had 3 that read different readings. bought a good gauge, aeromotive I think, and it worked great. I had a chevy ll BBC that ran high 8's in the quarter. When I built it I used 2 Holley blue pumps, 1/2 inch fuel line, 2 Holley 750 DP I built. I ran 7 psi and crossing the finish line it would drop to 3 or 4 psi. I bought 1 Barry Grant pump and filter, sold the Holleys and set it at 5 psi. It stayed at 5 psi through the traps and I had to lean the carbs 6 jet sizes. You shouldn't vary on FP with an electric pump, it should stay where you set it.
