    You still online
  2. Hi Ray, Merry Christmas to you and your's, too.

I have 275x40 on the front and 315x35 on the rear. Tire Rack had a closeout on Sumitomos cheaper than the Goodyear 255x50s I was looking for. When these wear out, I will probably go back to the 255x50s - they fill the wells better and they ride nicer, too. The stock size seems to be harder to find anymore.

I was thinking of going to an 11" rim on the rear and 9" on the front - that's why I got the bigger tires. I really like the look of the newer ZR-1 wheels and wanted something like those. But I decided that my car looks fine with the stockies on it and I could used the $1k plus on my '55!

There are quite a few SS's around my area. I see 2 black ones all the time (one is always at a warehouse about 2 miles from my house) and there's a DCM and a DGGM one that I see on occasion.

I'm going to stretch the legs on my SS today to finish up some last minute shopping for the family.

What tires are you running on your Impala? I need to put tires on mine, and I'm having a hard time finding some in the correct size. I did some poking around on NAISSO, and it seems most guys are switching to 235/55/17's from the stock 255/50's. Just thought I'd pick your brain on the subject.

PS, I'd like to wish you and your family a VERY MERRY CHRISTMAS, and a SAFE, HAPPY NEW YEAR

Hey Mike, No I haven't been able to do anything to my Impala. In fact, it's not even on the road at the moment. The only driving it sees lately is short little blasts around the block. I may be starting a new job soon, and if so, the Impala will be pulled from hibernation and re-commissioned.

And YES I DO have too many projects ranging from vehicles, house, yard, etc., etc. Livin' the dream!!!! LOL!!!
