I'm going to be using this single 4bbl carb intake, it's called a " Loaf of Bread", or at least that's what it look like. I need the bottom for it and can't find one. If I can't, we have used one before on another project by cutting the bottom off and making one to fit another intake bottom.
How hard is it to find the one that fits? Any help would be great.
I'd guess you'll probably end up having to buy a complete Eddy tunnel ram with dual carb top and put your single carb top on it. The duals are easy to find, but finding just the bottom half of either will be fruitless most likely. I see them for sale fairly often for $200 or less.
OK, I was not sure of the actual configuration of that manifold. You're most likely correct in only finding a dual top manifold but they might pop up if you have time to wait. But unlikey. Although, having to buy one anyway, and getting a dual top, it's nice to have the option for down the road. They always look awsome with twin carbs. Mark L
They also work better with dual carbs. The singles have a tendency to run some outtermost cylinders leaner than center cylinders. That's a long way for fuel to go to get to 1/2 and 7/8 cylinders.
